MMLG’s own Aaron Lachant Talks Los Angeles’s Cannabis Delay on ABC 7

Leading cannabis compliance attorney Aaron Lachant of MMLG and the law firm Nelson Hardiman chatted with ABC 7 recently to discuss the upcoming adult-recreational marijuana sales laws which go in effect on January 1. As we reviewed earlier this month, the city of Los Angeles has seen a modest delay in its applications for local adult rec. licenses.

In his appearance on ABC 7, Lachant breaks down the situation and explains that L.A. is doing all it can to accommodate what is expected to be a substantial demand for the applications. Will you be in the L.A. region on January 1 and hoping to take advantage of adult recreation sales right out of the gate to combat that New Year’s hangover? Lachant explains that our neighbors in West Hollywood will be ready to serve: “Our friends in West Hollywood are well ahead of the curve on this issue. They’ve authorized their licensed medical shops to do recreational sales if the businesses apply to the state and get the necessary temporary licenses.”
