Happy Fourth of July week! We know a lot of people are out of the office and hopefully enjoying some time on vacation in Massachusetts, or at a BBQ (maybe with some THC-infused non-beer?) But we never sleep and never stop helping our clients stay compliant. As testament to this, MMLG’s very own Dr. Juli Crockett talked about plant-touching businesses, spot-checks, cannabis violations, and BCC enforcement with MJ Biz Daily recently. It’s an absolute must-read for anyone in the cannabis industry within the Golden State.

While we certainly hope/encourage your business to be within compliance already to avoid any cannabis violations, we also understand that the transition for recreational use has seen a few road bumps. However, as enforcement efforts have ramped up since the beginning of June in advance of the transition window that just closed on July 1, it’s imperative that all plant-touching businesses rapidly familiarize themselves with compliance and regulations to avoid fines and violations on the local or state level.
