It’s been a busy few weeks for Phase 2 and social equity in Los Angeles. And things are only going to be getting busier between now and when the application process for Phase 2 closes –REMINDER: We’re hosting a FREE panel/workshop on social equity and Phase 2 tonight!
With that excitement around social equity in mind, Cat Packer, the executive director of the city of Los Angeles’ Dept. of Cannabis Regulation, spoke recently on the importance of diversity, inclusion and social equity within the cannabis marketplace of Los Angeles and beyond. The talk, which was co-sponsored by MMLG, the Future Cannabis Project and the California Cannabis Industry Association, saw Packer joined by Alexis Di’Angelo and Josh Drayton from the CCIA in an informative and engaging conversation about the necessity and benefit of social equity in L.A.’s cannabis scene.
The entire video is well worth your time to watch if you’re curious about the significance of social equity, plus, Cat Packer drops some very interesting points about the department’s role in L.A.’s cannabis landscape. Want to learn more about licensing and the application process under Phase 2? Join us tonight for our FREE workshop.
