Join MMLG in Chicago to Talk Cannabis for Green Market Summit

Green Market Report is hosting an economic summit on cannabis in Chicago next week. If Green Market Report sounds familiar to you, it’s because their founder, Debra Borchardt, was the moderator at our New York City event back in January. Or it’s because Debra is everywhere these days and because Green Market Report gets every cannabis scoop. Either way, we’re thrilled to be a part of the Green Market Summit next week.

Green Market Summit is about the economics of cannabis in Chicago and Illinois

The event will be at the UBS Building in downtown Chicago and, possibly literally, within the shadow of CBOT and the Merch Market. A perfect setting for an all-day event looking at the economics of cannabis in other words. The GMS will be hosting panels ranging from the boom in jobs that cannabis has created, to responsibly growing a national brand, to the impact that hemp is having on many industries, to the roll women are having in shaping the cannabusiness, the future of cannabis in Illinois and more.

The audience will consist of private investment groups and individual investors from across the Midwest and the U.S. The breadth of location that attendees are coming from speaks to the surge in interest the Midwest has received as more and more states in the region legalize cannabis.

MMLG will be discussing compliance, cannabis and Chicago

Oh right, we’re actually hosting a panel in Chicago as well. What will we be discussing? Compliance! Aaron Lachant, our founder, will be joined by our director of compliance, Juli Crockett, in addition to nationally renown healthcare attorney, Harry Nelson.

We’ll be breaking down all that compliance touches in the plant-touching biz and how it is particularly crucial for investors and business owners alike to understand the high cost of non-compliance.

If you’re serious about moving into the rapidly emerging cannabis space across the Midwest (Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Missouri, Oklahoma), this conference will be the place for you. Plus, Pequod’s and Half Acre.
